UNEP's latest emissions gap report just published. Picture is super depressing.
I know we're all tired of seeing these doomsday messages on our LinkedIn, but it's really damn important that we make progress, because right now, we're getting further and further away.
Remember, CDP estimated that 40% (!!) og global emissions are directly or indirectly influenced by procurement, so you need to get your suppliers committing to reduce emissions today.
Don't get stuck in complexity of various calculation methodologies. It's simple: get your suppliers to calculate, disclose and set targets to reduce their emissions. And if they don't, start the hard work of switching to suppliers that will.
You should have a crazy amount of urgency. This is not tomorrow's problem. Start pushing your suppliers this week!
